“We are hoping to get more and more efficient with how we work and how we do things,” Lapp said. “We’re not looking to grow by leaps and bounds over the next couple of years. We’re trying to keep three crews and do a good job with what we have.”
Lapp is focused on building a company that his sons can one day take over. Five of his sons currently work on the crew, and the company has grown to 15 employees. For Lapp, getting to work alongside his sons has made the company’s success even more meaningful.
“Working together with my sons has made it an exciting place to work and an exciting business to be a part of,” Lapp said.
Even without pursuing rapid expansion, Extreme Pole Buildings continues to grow. “It’s hard because people keep calling,” Lapp said. “People want to work with us.”
Still, Lapp measures the company’s success by more than its growth. Customer satisfaction is a top priority, with Extreme Pole Buildings honored to earn a number of five-star reviews this year. For Lapp, seeing that response from his customers and watching the business grow with his family has made the journey especially rewarding.
